WHEREAS the physical and emotional risks to women from abortions have not been adequately studied;
Be it resolved that REAL Women of Canada recommend that the federal Department of Health and Welfare make available research grants to investigate and document the effects of abortion on women; and
Be it further resolved that REAL Women of Canada recommend that the Federal Department of Health and Welfare make available material based on such research, including pamphlets and video cassettes, to alert the public to the risks involved in abortion, and its effects on the physical and emotional health of the mother, the father, siblings and other family members.
