REALity March, 2018 –
The wonderful memories of Walt Disney’s early creative works such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the mischievous Mickey Mouse, and Donald Duck and his three naughty nephews, Huey, Dewy and Louie, are now just fond memories to most of us.
Unfortunately, since those creative works were a part of our early lives, the Disney Corporation has changed and have become unhinged. It is no longer suitable for families to watch the Disney channel if they do not want their children indoctrinated by anti-family story lines. The latter has now apparently taken over the Disney Channel.
For example, the Disney Channel recently featured two anti-family story lines that shocked audiences around the globe.
One of Disney’s new TV shows, Andi Mack, featured the first gay storyline on the Disney Channel. In a recent episode, a 13-year-old character “realizes” he is gay and “comes out” to his friends. His friends accept and affirm his same-sex attractions, and they applaud him for expressing his “true self.”
This anti-family storyline already forced Kenya to pull Andi Mack from its airwaves.
A separate show on Disney’s XD Channel recently featured both a same-sex kiss and a male princess. The Christian Post reported that an episode of Star vs. The Forces of Evil featured the character of Marco Diaz disguising himself as a princess named Turdina, in what LGBT-friendly outlets called a bold statement. Earlier this year the same show “featured a scene with same-sex couples kissing”.
In 2017 Disney updated Beauty and the Beast from the live action version of 1991. The former version reflected the Christian, biblical ideal of marriage where the love between a man and a woman transforms sinful hearts, especially the “beastly” nature of the male descendants of Adam, the first man.
The new version of Beauty and the Beast has been diminished by a politically correct gender bending sub-plot between the villain Gaston and his effeminate sidekick as well as a cross-dressing joke. The sidekick Le Fou’s homosexual attraction toward Gaston seems based on lust, rather than love, unlike that of the love that develops between Beauty and the Beast. The movie also includes the magical wardrobe in the heroine’s room, dressing three unshaven men in women’s clothes. One of the men obviously enjoys crossdressing, indicated by his leering at the viewers showing that he secretly likes women’s clothes (a promotion of transvestite behaviour). Later during the movie’s ending, that same man, now in male clothes, starts dancing with Le Fou. This last offensive image just magnifies the leftist identity politics and homosexual activism that Disney’s film makers have admitted publicly they want to promote. The homosexual elements in this version of Beauty and the Beast are a political stunt, a base attempt to indoctrinate children in a particular ideology and agenda that doesn’t match the rest of the story.
These homosexual additions are definitely not appropriate for a TV audience geared towards a young innocent family.
Disney should not be supported while it features content that is not appropriate for our children to watch.
Please let the Disney Corporation know that it has lost the support and viewership of your family because of its attempt to indoctrinate children on politically correct issues. The Disney Channel is supposed to entertain young children, not indoctrinate them with anti-family policies.
