Re: Ontario Sex Education Curriculum
The one thing we have learned definitively about Patrick Brown, Leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party (PC), is that he is totally untrustworthy. He cannot be trusted in any way.
This was exposed, without any doubt, when he announced in a letter to Parents dated August 24th 2016, that
…a PC Government would scrap the controversial changes to sex-ed introduced by Premier Wynne and develop a new curriculum after thoughtful and full consultation with parents.
Within 24 hours of the letter becoming public, however, his Twitter posts included the following:
I am determined to lead a PC Party that is modern, inclusive, pragmatic, and that reflects the diversity of our province. 1/5
I strongly support an updated curriculum that takes into account changing attitudes and world in which children now dwell. 2/5
Children have to cope with challenges completely unknown to their parents. 3/5
As we do this, I insist that parents be thoroughly consulted… 4/5
Consultation is never wrong. The Wynne Liberals simply have not done this. I will. That’s the difference. And that’s the issue. 5/5
His Campaign Manager, Walied Soliman, stated in his tweet
@inklessPW @brownbarrie is NOT repealing S/x-ed in Ont! As always said, next round will have real parent consultation-that’s all. #onpoli
Brown’s Commitment to LGBT on the Sex Ed Curriculum
The LGBTory Canada group http://www.lgbtory.ca/s/x-ed-statement/ stated on August 27, 2016:
…He …Mr. Brown assured us that inclusion and diversity continue to be priorities for him, and that LGBT issues will be a focus in the Ontario school curriculum… …the curriculum will continue to ensure that LGBT students and their families are supported and treated with sensitivity. And: …his response to us has reassured us that he does not intend to remove pro-LGBT elements from the document. What is Patrick Brown up to? A by-election is to be held this week on September 1st 2016 in the Ontario riding of Scarborough-Rouge River. The candidates for the three major parties, Liberal, PC and NDP, all support Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne’s despicable sex education program. An Independent Candidate, Queenie Yu, however, unequivocally rejects the Liberal’s sex education curriculum. This issue has become significant in this riding as the residents consist of a huge Tamil population and a massive Asian population. They are making it clear to door to door canvassers that they oppose this sex education curriculum, which is a major issue to them. The independent candidate, Queenie Yu, has been draining votes from the conservative candidate, which is threatening a PC win in the Scarborough-Rouge River by-election. This would be highly detrimental to the PC momentum. Hence Mr. Brown’s last minute attempt to recapture the votes from Queenie Yu candidacy. Patrick Brown is now campaigning against the unpopular Kathleen Wynne sex education curriculum in the by-election but, at the same time is telling the rest of Ontario his true intention, which is to retain the sex education curriculum. This establishes Brown as an opportunistic hypocrite. What to do in the Next Few Days? Ms Yu is pro-life, pro-family and pro-parental rights. She is running to give voice to the thousands of parents across the Scarborough-Rouge River riding who oppose the Ontario government and their anti-family agenda. REAL Women of Canada is asking our Ontario supporters to help Queenie by: For more information and to make a donation, visit www.stopwynnesexed.com With the Liberals controlling a clear majority of seats in the Legislature, the outcome of this by-election will not affect the balance of power. However, a significant showing by Ms Yu will change the dynamics of the political situation in this province.
